Release Blitz & Review: Where you Can Find Me by Fiona Cole

Luella King has experienced loss all her life. After losing her parents and the most important person in her life, she hesitates to open up to anyone and instead plays it safe. One night, she throws caution to the wind and gives into her desires with a sexy stranger.

Fearing her sudden and unexpected loss of control, Luella runs away from him. A chance second encounter pushes her to open her eyes and give the stranger a chance.

There’s something about Jack MacCabe that makes her feel safe enough to lower her guard. Despite how busy he is with his job as a security specialist, they continue to spend more time together and with each date and late night message she finds herself falling in love.

When a serial killer wreaks havoc on their city, Jack's dangerously close proximity to the case reignites Luella's fears of losing someone important to her. Surrendering her fears in order to keep Jack by her side challenges Luella to her limits, while Jack is under pressure to catch the serial killer before it's too late.

As Jack and Luella draw closer to one another, the killer closes in on their next victim. Soon Jack and Luella find themselves entrenched in a mystery they never saw coming.

Where You Can Find Me is an amazingly written debut romantic suspense novel.  Fiona Cole has brought together an enticingly thrilling tale of murder, suspense, and finding love in the midst of it.

Luella hasn't had it easy. She seems to have lost person after person, and in dealing with that, she's closed herself off to most relationships. If you don't have a close attachment, it can't hurt when you lose someone, right?  But one night, Luella tosses aside her usual walls and reinforced boundaries and throws caution to the wind by hooking up with a guy she just met, Jack.

Jack is a good guy, a real hero if you want to call it that.  He's very protective, and he cares a lot.  The fact that he's somehow become involved in this murder case really affects him.  He doesn't want to be the reason someone gets hurt.

As Jack and Luella grow closer, a killer is waiting in the wings, just biding time until he can inflict terror on his next victim or two.

Fiona Cole lures you into the story with steamy scenes, and intriguing characters, but ultimately she draws you in with the promise of danger, the fear of death, and more than that, curiosity at how the murderer is connected to the other characters.  There were a few  subtle twists and turns that lead you to the truth, but for me, it wasn't until it was RIGHT THERE that I figured it out.  I loved that aspect of this book, that the author was able to pull me into the story and feed me information and little pieces of the puzzle, but still knock me over the head when it was go time.

This book reads as if the writer has been writing for ages, not just this book.  I loved the way the romance is spliced into the story, and builds as much as the anticipation builds for the killer to be caught.  Jack and Luella's love story is just as important as discovering the killer.   The story is full of spicy steamy love scenes that will make you squirm, and terror inducing moments that will leave you cringing.

Where You Can Find Me was a fabulously connected story that ran your emotions full speed in all directions.  Whether you were enjoying a special moment between Jack and Luella, or biting your nails hoping for the safety of a character, this story will pull you in and keep you reading until the epic conclusion.

Fiona Cole's writing in this debut novel closed the case for me, I'll be back for more.

I never thought I would ever write a book. I wasn't even really a reader until age twenty. But I picked up a romance novel and that was it for me. I fell in love. And then one day I stepped into this indie world of books and I started writing. Then I wrote enough to keep going. And then I had a book. Sometimes things happen when you least expect it, but it all falls into place. Writing is it for me.

I'm a stay at home mom with a degree in chemistry and biology. I LOVE science. If you get me started talking about biochemistry, it's all over. I'll rattle on for days! But I use all that knowledge to take care of my two little girls. Mostly while my husband is away being a soldier.

It's taken me a long time to get here, but I like it ... And I think I might stay a while.
