My Review:
Biting Point, is one drama filled, exciting adventure, full of swooning moments and steamy love scenes.
Titan is a Bad Boy. Rich, elusive, secretive, and someone who doesn't much take NO for an answer. He's also turned on his head when he sees Kaidence the first time. There's a lot we don't know about Titan beyond his Rich Alpha Racer persona, and I enjoyed learning little things about it him as the story progressed.
Kaidence has had it rough, starting from childhood, she's endured a lot, not all of it awful, but also not all of it good. Because of those things and a lowered self image because of events that occured more recently, she's not exactly trusting or self-confident. Kaidence had made a pledge to herself, to give up on love; give up on finding the right guy for her and live life as she could alone. Then at her 26th birthday party that changes when Titan asks her out.
Their relationship progresses fast, but it seems to work for both of them, it seems they've found the one person they should be with. Kaidence is healed in ways by Titan and the way he loves and cares for her, and Titan also finds himself soothed by Kaidence. There are a few things that for me were a little over the top, but ultimately as the story reads, Kaidence and Titan are a perfect match, and this is what works for them.
Along with the growing romance between Kaidence and Titan the main story of the book is about Titan's raising league; a group of 7 guys who all race together. We get to see different sides of the racing league as the story progresses.
Kaidence has a lot to work through herself, working to build trust and believe that a man such as Titan could really want her for who she is and love her truly.
There is a lot going on, and Kaidence and Titan are tested in many ways, but each thing keeps you hooked wondering what will happen next.
I'm giving this book 4 stars, but its more of a 3.5 rating for me. I enjoyed the characters and the story and really liked that it wasn't your average tale of love. While the storyline and characters kept me enthralled and reading, there were a few parts that rubbed me the wrong way but overall I enjoyed the story and will pick up the next book in the series.
Azalea Amy Lezlynn has delivered quite a story with her debut novel, it will be interesting to see what she has in store for readers in future books in the series.
