Blog Tour: Deep Redemption by Tillie Cole

He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.

Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.

Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…

But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.

As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…

… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

If you've read and loved all the previous Hades Hangmen series, then you've been waiting for Cain/Rider's story FOREVER.  Like the previous books in the series, Deep Redemption gives us alternate views of the Hades Hangmen MC and the Religious sect prophet Cain is supposed to be heading.

Deep Redemption is everything I wanted Rider's story to be, gritty, raw, and redeeming.  I really enjoyed each aspect of the story as it came together in a read that sucked me in and kept me on edge.   I love the writing of this series, how even the most shocking and unbelievable things just feel legit, as if you've seen them on the local news.  The familial feeling between members of the MC, their pain that affects everyone, their joy the same really build on the story and show that this group of men, and their ladies are not your average MC, and they won't stand down when one of their own is affected.

Prophet Cain, formerly Rider of the Hades Hangmen, has a lot to answer for, but he's not an inherently evil man. I love that this book shows us more of his realizations that he absolutely didn't understand what was going on with the religious sect in his absence (previous books), what unfolded so-calledly in his name, and what would happen in the future.  I enjoyed watching it all unfold, and knowing that he wanted to find a new path, wanted better of himself, wanted to do something to right the wrongs of the past.

Deep Redemption is a dark look at the way corruption can make seemingly normal things sinister, the way a religion can turn good people into pawns who don't even realize the way they are suffering for what they don't know is NOT the greater good.  Parts of this book, like previous in the series, will hurt your heart and make you rage.  Parts of this book will heal your heart and make you want to hug everyone.  This story will tug on your heart, rip out emotions from your soul, and leave you feeling adrift with those feelings. But ultimately, you will find a wonderful story for our Prophet Cain.
