Dirty Little Secret dragged me straight into this new world created by Kendall Ryan, grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let me go as I followed along with each twist and turn and kept guessing at what I didn't know yet.
Emma was an interesting chracter, a woman with a painful past, a past taht still haunted her, but a zeal for life and continuing to live hers as she pleased. She was smart, kind, and at times seemed a little naive - but in an endearing way mostly. After crushing on teh mysterious business man at the coffee shop, Emma finds herself being drawn into a world she's not sure she understands, but one she can't step back from either. An arrangement with not one, but two strong Alpha males has her more curious than ever, but what's going to happen?
Gavin's dark and mysterious, a man with hurt in his past, with fears, with inner demons he still needs to battle. But something about Emma draws him in, makes him question, calls his heart. He knows better than to go there again, but he can't seem to find a reason to break things off.
The pushes and pulls between Gavin and Emma kept me guessing and on edge - one minute it felt like they were close to figuring things out and the next I was left curious how things would proceed. I loved as bits and pieces of the story unfolded and I learned more about each of these characters and got to know them even better.
With side characters of Gavin's brothers, the story was rounded out to pull me in to every angle, every aspect of his life and business and want to know everything I could find, also leaving me looking forward to more in the next book.
The ending definitely had me stumbling for the rest of the story all while knowing I had to wait, so Bring on Dirty Little Promise, Kendall Ryan, I can't wait to devour it.
