My Review:
Crash brings us the story of Lincoln and Violet, Ash's sister. We know from Beat and Pulse a little about Violet's history and the traumas she has dealt with. Now we get to see her up close and personal.
Violet is still dealing with her issues, trying to get on with life and be herself again, she's working with her therapist and of course Ash and Ren at times to try to get normalcy back. In this front, she accepts a job at Pulse, hoping to ease her way back into society. But discovering Lincoln's back could have her easing back into more.
Lincoln is suffering an injury, bringing him back home, while his brother is still off fighting. He's pretty down about being outside of the ring, but seeing Violet again brings a little happiness to his life. But as he gets to know Violet again, he sees a different person. Someone who's afraid, and shy and he's not exactly sure how to go about anything with her, he just knows he has to try.
Crash is a great addition to the series and it gives us a really great story. Lincoln and Violet both have a lot to work through for themselves and to be together. There is a lot to work through, moments of panic, trust to build, and storms to weather, but ultimately its worth it for love. Amity Cross has woven another fantastic tale about a fighter who's in it to win it, and I'm not just talking MMA.
