I was a pawn. Weak and someone easily manipulated. To be played with as he saw fit. Until YOU. YOU shone light in my now dark world. It was YOU who made me smile. For the first time in this game, I had hope. All because of YOU. The more powerful pieces on the board, however, were a threat to YOU and me. They would win at any cost. Two kings ruling with an iron fist. Allies or opponents, it was hard to tell. YOU promised to save me. Told me we would win. But then I was on the wrong side of the board. This isn't YOU, baby. And I don't know what to do. The game is almost over and I'm counting on YOU. Tick, tock... Warning: This Isn’t You, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes, excessive drug use, and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for YOU. This story will make YOU smile. This story will make YOU angry. This story will make YOU crazy. I hope YOU love it, baby.

You know the saying, expect the unexpected. I feel like that should go in front of every single book K. Webster writes.  Because even when you know certain things going in, you will never figure out all the twists and turns you are about to embark on. Nor can one anticipate just where the journey within the book is going to take you as a reader.  The running theme with all of the War & Peace books has been Dark and Dangerous, But epically amazing stories.  This isn't You, Baby is no different.

This book is Brie's story, and it sucked me in and held my attention from page one til the last. I love how each story in this series kept me on my toes, trying to guess what was coming, trying to figure out how all the pieces fit together and what it ultimately all means.  I love that though the majority of things within these books are dark, taboo, or more, there are still moments that make me laugh, there are still bits of tenderness, and above all there's a lot of heart in these books.

This book took me up, down, and sideways, and left me amazed at all that had been revealed, but also left me anxious about what was to come. Between the secrets and lies, and whispers of unknown plans, I was hooked and couldn't put my kindle down.  It always amazes me that K. Webster can make me fall in love with every second of the madness that ensues in these stories, that I will want to hug characters who've been through so much, that I will crave justice for some an dnot others,  that I can fall in love with diabolical characters, that I can understand things that happen that outside of these pages wouldn't be explainable to me, but for some reason I just crave more of with these books.

This Isn't You, Baby is a fabulous addition to the War & Peace series that is full of it all, drama, suspense, an epic love story, and so much more.  Once finished, I wanted to dig right back into it all, and to also get more. More of these characters, more of this story, more of the dark twisty ride. I'm ready for the next loop de loop of this fabulous series.
