Blog Tour: Callan by Sybil Bartel

Sybil Bartel
(Uncompromising #5)
Publication date: March 20th 2018
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
I was trained to be a hunter. Growing up in the nation’s most infamous, violent cult, my job was simple. Track. Kill. Survive.
And that’s what I did… until our leader threatened to kill his own daughter.
Refusing to watch another senseless murder, I did what I was trained to do. I took his life. Then I claimed his land, and set every member free, including her. I only had one goal left. Find the sister I was told was dead.
But being a hunter in the woods is a far cry from tracking a woman in Miami Beach.
I didn’t find my sister.
I found my stepsister.
*CALLAN is the fifth standalone book in the Uncompromising Series. You do not have to read the books in this series in order, but if you prefer to read them in the order written, The Uncompromising Series is listed below.*
The Uncompromising Series:

One of my favorite things about Sybil's writing is that she always has some twist up her sleeve, something that turns a story unexpected and further grabs and holds your attention.

It's not secret I fell in love with Callan when we met him as Hero in Andre's book. There was such mystery about him, but also a desperate need to know more and see him find his happy.  His upbringing was anything BUT normal and yet he knew deep down that the cult existence wasn't right or for him even as he acted on it's teachings.

With the cult disbanded, the remaining followers all taking their places in the World, and Callan left to fend for himself he's off to find something for himself - the sister he'd been told died and yet he can't believe that as truth until he truly knows. But the journey to find his sister leads him to somewhere else - someone else - a step-sister he can't leave.

Emily has never been so taken by a man, but she believes it's wrong because of who he is to her. She tries to ignore their connection, the powerful chemistry between them - but also wants to help Callan, she wants to bring him into her family fold.

As with the norm, of course, things are not going to go smooth or easy for these two. And it would be pretty boring if they had.  Instead we get a story packed full of danger and adventure, action and emotions and a well deserved love story in the midst of it all.

I'm not going to give away all the twists and turns that make this story enticing, I'm not going to spoil a thing for readers, instead what I'm going to say is this: Callan is a man unlike any you've read before - and yes sometimes his actions and words may bother you - but once you are really and truly in his head - you'll understand so much about this man and forgive him his awkwardness.  Emily will suck you in as well with her sweetness, her loyalty to family, her inner struggles over right and wrong and how it all works out in her mind.

Callan was an amazing story in the Uncompromising series, another hero who's found his perfect match and fought to keep her.

Author Bio:
Sybil Bartel grew up in Northern California with her head in a book and her feet in the sand. She dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew her into the world of storytelling. She loves the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes her swoon.
Sybil now resides in Southern Florida and while she doesn’t get to read as much as she likes, she still buries her toes in the sand. If she isn’t writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in her backyard, you can find her spending time with her handsomely tattooed husband, her brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer…
But Seriously?
Here are ten things you probably really want to know about Sybil.
She grew up a faculty brat. She can swear like a sailor. She loves men in uniform. She hates being told what to do. She can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks her out. Her favorite word is desperate…or dirty, or both—she can’t decide. She has a thing for muscle cars. But never reply on her for driving directions, ever. And she has a new book boyfriend every week—don’t tell her husband.
