The beer's not the only thing getting tapped.

CALLIE

I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out…which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan.

He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress.

Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.

REID

I have a problem: my pint-size spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion.

She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her.

Now we’re both vying for the same position…and only one of us can come out on top.

Review

I was already a fan of both RC Boldt and Jennifer Blackwood, so knowing they were writing a rom-com together -- it was a no-brainer I wanted in on that action.

What happens when you mix some serious humor into a love/hate forbidden type relationship between coworkers -- well you get an amazingly written - laugh a minute - book like Tap That.

Callie was a super fun character to get to know, she's hard working, fresh, feisty, and also determined to make things work out for herself.  She might have gone just a tad overboard with her resume for her newest job - but she's sure she can make it work and get past the probationary period -- well as long as she can avoid a certain bartender who seems to equally want and despise her.  The feelings are, of course, mutual.

Reid - gah - I loved him from the start, but with each little bit I found out about him as the story progressed, I feel deeper.  He's a good guy, he's solid and has a lot of heart - but he also knows what he wants and has big plans for his life and where it should be heading.  Callie coming in and trying to take what he expected to be HIS job, doesn't fit in with those plans at all, and neither do the feelings she brings to life in him.

The chemistry between these two is strong and I loved how it sort of played against them at times.  I enjoyed the banter between them that often led to more.  There was a perfect blend of sizzle to go along with the laughs, and I simply adored most of the side characters and what they brought to the story.   There's a lot of heart in these pages which made the romance plot work well in my opinion.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and wouldn't be disappointed to see another book co-written by these two.

Jennifer Blackwood

Jennifer is a USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance. She lives in Oregon with her husband, son, and poorly behaved black lab puppy. When not chasing after her kiddo, you can find her binging on episodes of Gilmore Girls and Supernatural, and locking herself in her office to write.

RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you're in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can't recall the lyrics to a particular 80's song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she's your girl.
