REVIEW

One thing I can always count on when reading S.L. Scott's Rockstars is falling in love with not only the main character, but the entire band - that hasn't changed. Dare captivated me from the first page til the last.

Dare introduces us to a new Austin Band, the Heroes, and brings us the story of Dare and Weatherly. Let me first say that I love how on point Scott always is when it comes to bringing to life band members. I don't know how she always brings such compelling guys to the group and makes me want to know everything about them from the start - but obviously the main focus of this story is Dare. And Weatherly.

I love how this story took the rockstar trope and spun it a bit to suit these characters, this isn't only a story about a rockstar - it's a story about Destiny and the people in our lives who bring us to the men and women we become. I loved the depth of both Dare and Weatherly's characters and how their story spanned more than just chemistry and connection and a blossoming love.

You know a book is great, when you are thinking about it's characters long after you've turned the last page and left their world. That's how I felt for hours after closing my kindle on these two, thinking of Dare and Weatherly, and wanting more from this group.

  He tasted like man. Like bourbon. Like pleasure. Finally. Finally. I slid my hands under his jacket and let him open my mouth. Incredibly, with the desire that was drenching both of us, he teased me, running his tongue along the inside of my lip, letting his teeth scrape my skin. REVIEW

Filthy Rich was my first book by Julie Kriss and I can definitely say it won't be my last.  This book is kind of a slow burn, special spin on office romance and I loved every single page of it. 

Samantha and Aidan are spectacular characters, they pulled me in from the first, curious to see how things would play out between them and if they'd be able to find a way together.  

Aidan is known as "The Man in Black", a super rich bachelor in New York, one who still has a touch of mystery to him. He's great at his job, handling his end of the business with skill. But there's so much more to the man than what the public assumes. 

  Samantha is amazing at her job, she's thorough, smart, talented and has a way with keeping things flowing as they should for not only Aidan, but the company in general.  These two feel an attraction to the other from the start and it's clear and yet neither really intends to do anything about it until - well let's just say those sparks can no longer be contained.   

Once they come together it's clear that they work well, but there's pieces of the puzzle that don't fit quite well and that leaves things a little complicated which makes for more fun as they try to figure it all out.  

Kriss did an amazing job of weaving it all together and grabbing my attention with these characters and their story. She also left me more than a little anxious to read more in this series.  I hope to see more of Samantha and Aidan as the series progresses and we get to see more of this group of characters. 

Julie loves reading and writing hot, sexy romances with awesome alpha heroes. Her favorite things are books, coffee, her perfect cat, and her husband, not necessarily in that order. She's a writing addict who is always hard at work on her next steamy romance.

Review

As a fan of Lucia's other books, Hush Hush intrigued me from the moment she started release details and snippets and I knew I had to read it. This book grabbed and held my attention from page one and kept me hooked until I'd read it all in one go.  

Aubrey was one of those characters who grew on me, I wasn't quite sure what to think of her at first, but the more I read, the more I liked her.  James was a force, in more ways than one, and I truly enjoyed being a voyeur as things unfolded. 

Hush Hush wasn't your usual story, though it had steam, it had tension, it had characters who made me fall in love like other romances, but it also held it's own special appeal and I think if you give it a try you just might find yourself lost in the pages as well.
