Meet S.L. Scott

New York Times and USA Bestselling Author, S. L. Scott, was always interested in the arts. She grew up painting, writing poetry and short stories, and wiling her days away lost in a good book and the movies.

With a degree in Journalism, she continued her love of the written word by reading American authors like Salinger and Fitzgerald. She was intrigued by their flawed characters living in picture perfect worlds, but could still debate that the worlds those characters lived in were actually the flawed ones. This dynamic of leaving the reader invested in the words, inspired Scott to start writing with emotion while interjecting an underlying passion into her own stories.

Review

Absolution is the third book in the Grace series by Autumn Grey. This book continues Grace's story and picks up right where we left off.  

I'll be the first to admit that I'm very picky when it comes to books with a triangle - but this series really grabbed and held my attention and made me care for all of the characters and I was happy with how things turned out for everyone.  

This book gripped my heart and made me feel everything alongside Grace.  Watching her grow through each book and even more through each page of this last book really gave me insight and further drew me in. She was such an intriguing character for me.   Sol and Levi also became people I felt I knew and cared deeply about. 

I loved that this book picked us up right where book two ended and took us on a steady paced journey that culminated the future of not just Grace.   This story had me on my toes at times and kept me in my feels. Grey did an amazing job of weaving the threads together with this one and I thought she handled this final chapter for these three characters amazingly.

Behind My Words was the first book I've read from Drake and I have to say that it was a great start to what I hope is a continuing reader relationship.  I was hooked on this story from page one, intrigued by Spencer and her past and of course the present as well.  

Behind My Words was full of twists and turns, mystery, suspense, and angles I could never have imagined coming into play and yet I ran forward with each new piece of information, theories abounding in my mind and a fascination to figure it all out before the characters did.  

I loved the themes within this book, the serial killer, the cop and the ghostwriter - not at all who you'd expect them to be nor their motivations and yet each little piece fit the overall picture building with each flip of the page. 

This book had my heart racing, my head spinning, and occasionally made me hold my breath, and yet I couldn't put it down, I had to know what was next.  

If you are looking for a suspenseful wild ride of a story to suck you in from the first word to the last, pick up your copy to day and enjoy the many twists you'll find among the pages.
