Release Blitz: Tempting Love by Kelly Elliott

Can a woman actually make you feel like you’re losing your damn mind? Yes. If she is Corina Miller. The only woman who has ever made me long for something more, and let me tell you, that has me all kinds of messed up. After months of ignoring my feelings, it’s clear to me I’ve fallen for those piercing blue eyes and sexy smile. But is it too late? Have I pushed her into the arms of someone else? Hell no am I letting that happen. I’m on a mission to win the heart of the only woman I’ve ever cared about—and the only thing standing in my way is one stubborn and pissed off Corina. I always did like a challenge.

I followed him, my hands shaking as I grew angrier by the second. “That’s it? You’re going to let me move out?”
Mitchell reached for his keys, then turned to me. “I can’t force you to stay here, Corina. If you’re unhappy, then yes, you should leave. Do I want you to? No, I don’t. I know I fucked up, but if you’re going to throw it in my face every goddamn chance you get, then you’re right, this won’t work.”
He headed to the stairs that led down to his front door. My heart raced, and I knew I couldn’t leave it like this. Closing my eyes, I called out to him. “Mitch! You never asked me to the Pecan Street Honky Tonk.”
Stopping, he looked back up at me. “What?”
I swallowed hard and took in a quick breath. “The dance, you never asked me. And well, Lane asked me.”
Sadness swept over his face. “What did you tell him?”
Wringing my hands together, I answered, “I haven’t responded…yet. I was waiting for you.”
Mitchell rushed back up the steps and stopped in front of me. I don’t think I’d ever felt my stomach dip like it did when he raced toward me. He cupped my face and leaned in. My chest rose and fell with each breath as I waited for him to speak. His touch sent a flurry of butterflies through my chest.
“Corina, will you go with me to the street dance next weekend?”
My teeth sank into my lip, and I watched as his eyes filled with lust.
“Yes.” I smiled and added, “But only as friends.”
The corner of his mouth rose into a sexy smirk. God, how I loved that smile of his. “It’s a date, then.”
“As friends,” I added.
He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. Before I could even process his lips, they were gone and he was stepping back. “I’ll take it. For now.”

About ESCAPE:

Everything inside of him is screaming that he needs to run, he needs to go, he needs to escape.

Lane Warner is used to being overshadowed and overlooked.

After all, he’s the youngest brother and the most laid back one in the family. He’s the one known for going with the flow and not making waves, even when things seem to be at their worst.
Very few things in life have had the ability to rile Lane up and get under his skin. At the top of that list is his childhood friend Brynn Fox…no…Brynn Warner. The fact that they share a last name was the one thing that has the power to light him up and spin him out of control like no other. There was no calm, cool and collected when it comes to all the reasons why Brynn had to become part of his family.
It’s slowly killing him to keep wanting what he can’t have, so Lane sees only one way to stop himself from doing something they’ll both regret…he has to leave. Everything inside of her is calling out to find him, to follow, to bring him home.
Brynn Warner is used to being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
After all, she’s the daughter of an unrepentant gold-digger who never once blinked at being the cause of her daughter’s pain and suffering.
Very few things in her life have ever brought happiness and a sense of security. At the very top of that list is Lane Warner. She has unwaveringly loved the youngest Warner since the first minute she laid eyes on him. He was everything Brynn ever wanted and everything she knew she could never have.
Sometimes the right choice is the one that hurts the most and Brynn’s had to make a few that felt like they might be the end of her. When Lane takes off, one thing is clear, the only choice Brynn has is to go after him.

She’s going to bring her wayward cowboy home….whatever it takes.

Escape is a standalone novel, the third book in the Getaway series, which features the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women who dare to love them. These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.

EXCERPT: Brynn He arched a dark eyebrow. “I’m in no rush to get back to the mess I’m sure we both left behind. I was planning on hanging out with Sutton for a few more days then making my way back home. There’s no reason we can’t make the drive together…unless you would rather fly?” I stared at him in silence for a long moment, weighing his words carefully. It had to be more than a thousand miles between Sacramento and Sheridan. That was hours and hours of him and me alone in his truck. We purposely avoided being alone when we were at the ranch. There were many awkward moments of silence and word we wanted to say but couldn’t. On the one hand, it was all I ever wanted. Lane Warner, with no place to escape me and our tangled, tormented history. We would finally be forced to put the past to rest, whatever that meant for us moving forward. On the other hand, the idea of being alone with him, trapped in that horrible, uneasy silence that plagued us since the second I said “yes” all those years ago made my skin crawl. There was no guarantee that Lane was ready to lance the wounds we’d both caused that had long been infected and festering. He seemed content to pretend things were fine when they were anything but. He rubbed his thumb along the corner of his mouth and gave me that grin of his that ensured he got whatever it was he wanted. “We can even take a few days and go to the Grand Canyon and Vegas if you don’t mind adding a few stops and several hundred miles onto the trip. I’ve never really been anywhere outside of home and who knows when we’ll get the chance to see it all again.” He was so persuasive with that charismatic smile and the soft look in his eyes. Daye caught my attention as she reached for my hand. She was bouncing on her toes, eyes as excited as her uncle’s. “You have to say yes. It sounds like so much fun. I want to go to the Grand Canyon one day. Did you know that you can ride horses down to the bottom?” She had the Warner charm already and did she ever know how to use it. “That does sound like fun, but are you sure I wouldn’t cramp your style? Especially in a place like Vegas.” I couldn’t disguise the hesitation in my tone. Lane never made it a secret that he liked the ladies, the flashier and easier the better. Vegas was built for a guy looking for a good time, and Lane was always up for some fun. There was no way I was hitching a ride with him if it meant that I was going to have front row seats for all of his bedroom antics. I was willing to suffer through a lot to get him back where he belonged, but my battered heart couldn’t take watching him with other women anymore. That was one thing about our tenuous relationship that had to change. He chuckled softly and hooked his thumbs into the front pockets of his jeans. The action pulled the denim down low on his hips flashing a strip of hard, tanned skin. I knew that under his t-shirt he was rocking more than a six pack and had a body littered with carved muscles and sharp lines. Ranch life had blessed all the Warner boys with bodies to die for, but somehow Lane ended up looking the best of all of them. He was quintessential cowboy, rugged and rough in all the best ways. Too bad he knew it and used every inch of that delectable body to his advantage. I couldn’t remember the last time he spent the night alone. All his conquests had to creep past my bedroom door to make their early morning getaway, and there was always a steady stream of them. “No, Brynn. You absolutely won’t cramp my style. In fact, I can’t imagine anyone else I would want to drive around the country with. I think we could both use the break from our reality and time away from it all. I promise to behave. So,” he lifted his eyebrows and gave me that panty-melting grin. “Are you in or out?” We watched each other, neither of us giving anything away. I wanted to go with Lane more than I wanted my next breath but I couldn’t tell if he wanted me to tag along with the same ferocity. It was the story of my life, a vicious cycle of wanting Lane Warner. Me wanting him and him not deciding what he wanted. Was I in or out? Of course, I was in…I was all in. I was in so deep with him there was no hope of me ever finding my way out. There was only one response to his question that I could give, my brain and my heart wouldn’t allow any other one. “I’m in.”

About BLAZE ERUPTING:

From New York Times bestselling author, Rebecca Zanetti, comes a new Scorpius Syndrome/A Brigade Novella

Hugh Johnson is nobody’s hero, and the idea of being in the limelight makes him want to growl. He takes care of his brothers, does his job, and enjoys a mellow evening hanging with his hound dog and watching the sports channel. So when sweet and sexy Ellie Smithers from his college chemistry class asks him to save millions of people from a nuclear meltdown, he doggedly steps forward while telling himself that the world hasn’t changed and he can go back to his relaxing life. One look at Ellie and excitement doesn’t seem so bad.

Eleanor Smithers knows that the Scorpius bacteria has and will change life as we know it, but that’s a concern for another day. She’s been hand-picked as the computer guru for The Brigade, which is the USA’s first line of defense against all things Scorpius, including homegrown terrorists who’ve just been waiting for a chance to strike. Their target is a nuclear power plant in the east, and the only person who can help her is Hugh, the sexy, laconic, dangerous man she had a crush on so long ago.

EXCERPT

Aches and pains—the yummy kind—ran through Ellie’s body as she exited the motel bathroom in the morning and stopped short at seeing what was left of the bed. The covers were all on the floor, and even the mattress looked cockeyed.
What a marathon of an evening.
She swallowed. Hugh had gone with Connor to brief the new security team, leaving her lounging in bed after a truly phenomenal night.
The rumors, although awesome, hadn’t given Hugh enough credit. He was amazing in bed.
Or maybe her big crush on him helped.
She pushed wet hair off her shoulder and smoothed down her faded jeans. The air had turned cold enough she was comfortable in her light blue sweater. Her phone dinged, and she tore her gaze away from the demolished bed. “Smithers,” she answered.
“You alone?” Deke asked without preamble.
“Yes.” Striding quickly, she reached her laptop next to the computer and flipped it open, easing back to perch at the end of the bed. “What’s up?”
Deke cleared his throat. “The intel came in on Hugh. He’s not one of the good guys, Eleanor.”
She snorted and inhaled the scent still left in the room from Hugh. Masculine and tough. “He’s beyond good.” In more ways than one, actually. “You’re being silly.” Was Deke being overprotective? How loud had they been last night? Had Connor somehow heard something from the next room? She bit her lip. Had she screamed at one point? Geez. “Give me a break, Deke.”
“I’m sending you the intel. Call me after you’ve read it.” He clicked off.
Well. She huffed and rolled her eyes, quickly opening an attachment from him. Documents, dossiers, and FBI investigational files quickly filled her screen.
She read them, her stomach beginning to hurt. “This isn’t right.”
A knock on the door nearly stopped her heart. “Who is it?”
“Connor.”
She stood and quickly unlocked the door for him, moving back to her computer instantly.
He slipped inside and leaned back against the door, his dark eyes somber. “I finished at the plant and left Hugh to continue briefing the new security details. Told him I’d be back after grabbing more coffee. Did you read the information from Deke?”
“Not all of it. I’m about halfway through.” She didn’t believe this. Not at all.
Connor rubbed a hand across his eyes. “Let me fill you in. Hugh’s family had financial troubles with what had been very successful tire stores, and Gregor bailed out his brothers. That put Hugh in a world of hurt.”
If there was a way to get to Hugh, it’d be through family. She shook her head anyway. “I don’t believe this.”
“Believe it,” Connor said grimly. “Hugh had no choice but to work with Gregor. Fed the guy information on nuclear plants, vulnerabilities, and hot targets. There was a hell of a lot more than just one picture of them together. He really was being investigated by the FBI.” His lips pressed into a thin white line as he took in the status of the bed. “Shit, Ellie. You didn’t.”

REVIEW

Blaze Erupting was a quick read in the Scorpius Syndrom series. In it we see the blooming relationship between Hugh and Ellie while also seeing more of how the world is going crazy with the outbreak of Scorpius.

Blaze Erupting definitely brought out the suspenseful and dangerous side fo this outbreak, while also bringing home the fact that when the world is ending -it's not always easy to know who to trust and what to believe.

Hugh and Ellie were acquaintances is college - they were partners in labs, and they knew each other but they weren't exactly friends even though Ellie wanted to be more to Hugh. But now there's a second chance and Hugh's ready to grab a hold of it, even though it means his world is changing further by teaming up with Ellie. Ellie isn't sure what to think about Hugh and his seemingly sudden attempt at expressing feelings between them - but one thing she knows she trusts the man he was and wants to believe thats the same man he still is.

With dangerous plots being made all around them with the Scorpius taking over - Ellie needs to rely on Hugh to help her prevent more tragedies while also figuring out which side he's on in the end. Can she trust her heart and what her memories tell her?

Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf Cover Reveal

In a new series Publishers Weekly has listed as “one of the most anticipated YA's of 2018”, we're excited to share the cover for Bring Me Their Hearts! NYT bestselling author Sara Wolf delivers a fast-paced, gritty fantasy sure to thrill fans of Holly Black, Sabba Tahir, and Sarah J. Maas.

About the book:

Zera is a Heartless—the immortal, unaging soldier of a witch. Bound to the witch Nightsinger ever since she saved her from the bandits who murdered her family, Zera longs for freedom from the woods they hide in. With her heart in a jar under Nightsinger’s control, she serves the witch unquestioningly.

Until Nightsinger asks Zera for a prince’s heart in exchange for her own, with one addendum: if she’s discovered infiltrating the court, Nightsinger will destroy Zera’s heart rather than see her tortured by the witch-hating nobles.

Crown Prince Lucien d’Malvane hates the royal court as much as it loves him—every tutor too afraid to correct him and every girl jockeying for a place at his darkly handsome side. No one can challenge him—until the arrival of Lady Zera. She’s inelegant, smart-mouthed, carefree, and out for his blood. The prince’s honor has him quickly aiming for her throat.

So begins a game of cat and mouse between a girl with nothing to lose and a boy who has it all.

Winner takes the loser’s heart.

Literally.

REVIEW

About That Kiss is another fabulous addition to the Heartbreaker Bay series, this time bringing us the story of Joe and Kylie.  Full of fun moments, swoons, and a romance they didn't expect, this book delivers everything needed to leave a reader happy at the end.

The set up for About that Kiss was fun and different - and it worked in the favor of Joe and Kylie as a way to bring them together and work through their thoughts/feelings.  Joe hadn't called Kylie after a kiss and she was left with all sorts of feelings about that fact.  But when Kylie finds herself in trouble of sorts, Joe is the first one to step up and step in to help her - and in doing so she finds herself with more feelings.

One of my favorite things about this series is the closeness of the group of characters - even when they are going through serious things - there's always a little bit of fun and silliness to add levity.  But there is also that feeling of "Don't screw this up" because when you live in such a small town - where everyone knows everything - you are always being watched.  I love that little bit of angst added because it sort of builds on the story - a what happens if things don't work out - how do you move on with the rest of your friends if they feel you are in the wrong.   Thankfully, Joe and Kylie do find their happiness and work through her trouble as well, and they do it in such a fun sort, growing closer along the way.

About that Kiss will suck you right in, not just to the story, but to the town, to the people in it, and to the magic of it all.  You'll laugh, swoon, and fall in love alongside Joe and Kylie.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jill Shalvis writes warm, funny, sexy contemporary romances and women’s fiction. An Amazon, BN & iBooks bestseller, she’s also a two-time RITA winner and has more than 10 million copies of her books sold worldwide.
