Release Date: February 24, 2015
BLACKEST
RED is the passionate and explosive conclusion to the IN THE SHADOWS series
Summary
No
matter how hard I’ve tried to let go of Mister Black, the memories of us
together torture me. They’re an unforgettable reminder of a life I can’t have
for many reasons.
Burying
myself in work mostly keeps thoughts of him to a screaming minimum, until he's
thrust into my life under circumstances beyond my control. Despite my need for
his protection, this time I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to survive with my
heart intact.
He
is Black: a fierce protector and irresistible charmer.
I
am Red: a trouble magnet and rainbow weaver.
Together
we ignite. Explosive colors merging at the hottest melting point.
My Review:
We've seen Talia and Sebastian have these hit and misses throughout the last books. They run into each other, help each other and then run away from each other. Finally Finally, we find out the rest of their story and watch as they start to figure things out.
Blackest Red brings their paths to a certain amount of closure and gets both Talia and Sebastian to admit to themselves and each other that they feared the whole truth coming out. There is so much action and drama going on that it was hard to put the book down because I needed to know what was coming.
I felt that things were wrapped up nicely in the book, and I was surprised at some things that came out, while not at all surprised at others. Talia and Sebastian's passion and depth of love really bring the whole series together.
