I won’t let
her go again.
My body has
to prove what words cannot.
Her hands
slide up under my suit jacket and pull my cotton shirt out of the waistband,
riding up under the conservative clothes with a hot passion that makes me need
her, naked and writhing under me, filling her. If she hesitated, I would stop
in a split second, but from the way her tongue moves in my mouth, lips eager
and telling me how much she’s missed me, I don’t sense one hint of question.

Review
A Shameless Little Bet is the awaited conclusion of this trilogy of books and like the previous two books, it sucked me right into the story from page one. A continuation from the cliffhanger we were left with in book two, we get right into the story. With lingering questions, twists at every turn, and a deep seeded curiosity to know just who is behind everything, A Shameless Little Bet kept me on the hook.
The writing of this book, like the previous books, was perfection. Just the right touch of each element had me not only craving answers to the swirling mysteries in my brain but also rooting for the good to win out. There's not a whole lot I can say without feeling like I'm giving away spoilers and this story is just too delicious to not let you dive into it unspoiled so I'll just add that I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and watching as they as they went through this wild and crazy ride with twists and turns, ups and downs, and trying to figure out the pieces of the puzzle as I did.
Meli Raine has proven time and again that she excels at suspense and this trilogy shows it yet again leaving me anxious to discover what is in store for us with the next set of books.
