REVIEW

I love Mafia books without a doubt, so I knew I had to read this duet and I have to say I found it more enticing than expected because it wasn't the usual Mafia story, but rather something all together more and different.  Drew and Cannon deliver quite the story as all the pieces are laid out in the pages. 

I really enjoy Drew as a character, from the first page, getting to know her motives and understanding what drives her to later watching as things get a little well complicated.   Cannon was another quick favorite, as I really enjoyed seeing the man he is and how he fits into the mafia world we are diving into.   

I loved that this story is filled with such mystery, questions that keep me going, and a deep, intense chemistry that sparks on the page and leaves me wanting more.  I absolutely NEED the second book because I'm stuck on these characters and have to know how things will end. Meghan March kills it with this first part of the story.

Wild Steamy Hook-Up is book three in the White Collar Brothers series and with it we finally get Dominic and Valentina "Val's" story and it was absolutely worth the wait. 

I loved how this one came together, I've been anxious to see just exactly how these two, with their history, would progress and I have to say it was a whole lot more fun than I expected. I've always been a fun of unrequited love turned real and also who doesn't love a good accidentally married story. 

One of the greatest parts of Piper Rayne books is that they suck you in on all levels, one moment have you laughing so loud your family looks at you like you might have lost it and the next trying to hold back your swoons. A beautifully woven mesh of emotions, snark, romance, and swoons all centered around not only the couple dujour but also their friends and family. But Wild, Steamy Hook-Up was so much more, and it was all the better for it because this book wasn't just a romance - it was a second chance for our couple. 

I felt every moment of this story, because it rang true, it touched deep and it made me believe.

“Give me your phone. I’ll put my number in,” Cam says, striding over with his confident steps.   “Why?” I force out a wry laugh. “So you can call me?”   “No.” There he goes again with that knowing smirk. As if he knows something I don’t.   “No?” I raise my brows. Then why does he want my number? Is this his move? What he does to ease women out of his bed. REVIEW

The Day He Came Back is a tale of second chances and so much more.  Our couple are from opposite sides; Gavin's a rich boy who doesn't seem to want for anything until you get to know him and his heart and Raven is the maid's daughter.  Though they couldn't appear to be any more different, there's an underlying connection there, a pull, which begins their forbidden tryst.  But as usually happens, love, their bond, and that connection isn't enough to get through every obstacle and then sometimes fate steps in and changes direction. 

I really enjoyed how this story gave me both the past and the present and how both were connected, though I'm not going to spoil all of those details as it is best to read for yourself.  I will say that I was enthralled from the start, anxious for Gavin and Raven and to see where things would end up between them and how they got to these points in their lives.

Ward did an amazing job weaving the pieces of their story together, from the drama of those against them, to the emotions of both Gavin and Raven, to the undeniable pull between them and everything in between.  I read this book in one sitting because I couldn't bear to set it down for even a moment.

The Candle Palace is a novella in the Jamison Valley series, and though it's not quite as long as the rest of the series, it is equally as enticing and full of surprises. The Candle Palace delivers the story of Milo and Sara in quite a fun way. 

I loved seeing Milo get his happiness after knowing parts of his story from former books in the series and the way Perry delivered it was compelling. As with prior books, Perry wove together the angst, emotions, and building love between Milo and Sara beautifully. It was amazing to see how these two found comfort, support and more in each other and see how it turned into so much more. 

I really enjoyed how the story was spun - as a retelling in the own heroine's words to her friends. It was a fun twist to take us back into the past and bring us back to the present in the end. 

Milo and Sara's story was a great fit for the series. It brought to life an amazing story of two beautiful people who came together despite bumps in the road. I loved reading about Sara and her relationships with patients - she was a true nurturer from the start and I enjoyed seeing the gruff and hurt Milo transform as he got to know Sara more and began healing.
