Blurb:

After a decade of serving in the Army, everyone still expects me to be Dominic 'Nicky' Costigan—the skirt-chasing player. They don't know I've been spending my days trying to figure out my post-military life. Including how to pick up guys.

When I meet Luke on a hookup app, he makes it clear it's for one-night only. That's fine with me, because I'm down to see what this silver fox can do. But after I arrive at his doorstep, it doesn't take long to realize we have serious chemistry, and we end up meeting again.

He's got more walls around his heart than a military base, but I think he's as addicted to me as I am to him. He can't resist me for long. I mean, who can? Except Luke's rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated.

I have been looking forward to this books since I finished Strong Signal.  Dominic is a fun character - I think mostly because he's kind of unpredictable, but also because he has an ability to hide hurts and offenses against him.  He's struggling with what to do with his life now, without the military while also coming to grips with having admitted his sexuality to himself.  It's not all good times and happiness to be home with his family, but Dominic is trying to figure it all out.

Luke has known his true self for years, but after muddling through reaching acceptance of that knowledge, he's made a few mistakes and had bad things happen, shading his decisions to not attempt relationships beyond that of what he has with his ex-wife and his children.  But Luke has it in him to want one man, to love one man, he just doesn't realize it until that man steps into his life.

It was supposed to be anonymous, supposed to be a one time thing, just a hook up to let loose for a night and fulfill a need, the same sort of thing he's done before.   But there's nothing about this encounter that fits those perimeters.  Luke and Dominic find that they can't stay away - and there is so much more to connect them then one swipe of an app.

Fast Connection delivers another great tale of two strong guys fighting against their feelings, holding back from getting hurt, and eventually losing that battle.  There are misunderstandings to work through, theirs family issues to manage, and ultimately it boils down to moving on from the past and opening yourself up again. Opening up to happiness, to finding the other half of you.

We get to see a few glimpses into past characters lives too and how they intersect into this book added a little extra drama and proved how the world really can be small and the people we meet can have a significant impact on us in unexpected ways.

Megan and Santino did a fabulous job  of writing these two characters, sucking you into their stories and digging deep into them.  From scenes that will make you laugh, to those that will touch your heart, from wanting to smack some sense into one of them, to wanting to hug the hurt away, this book will bring out all the emotions.  You will be rooting for these two to figure it out and admit what those around them have figured out, that their connection is one worth growing and keeping.

About the Authors:

Author bio:

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she likes writing her own endings better.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.

Author Bio:

Santino Hassell was raised by a conservative family, but he was anything but traditional. He grew up to be a smart-mouthed, school cutting grunge kid, then a transient twenty-something, and eventually transformed into an unlikely romance author.

Santino writes queer romance that is heavily influenced by the gritty, urban landscape of New York City, his belief that human relationships are complex and flawed, and his own life experiences.
