About INKED EXPRESSIONS

The Montgomery Ink Series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan continues with the brother who keeps his secret and the one woman he shouldn’t want.

Now she’s a single mother working overtime at her bookstore trying to make sure her boys have the life they deserve. Her life is busy enough without her adding dating a Montgomery. As past secrets come to light, she’ll need Storm more than ever—even if she doesn’t realize it.
Storm Montgomery has spent his life atoning for sins that only few know he’s committed. When he lost his best friend, he promised his widow that he’d always be there for her—even when she wanted nothing to do with him. But when a single touch ignites passions they’ve both buried deep inside, he’ll have to remember exactly who is in his arms and that taking chances might be far more dangerous than they bargained for.

REVIEW

One of the things I love about the books in this series, is the true devotion of the entire Montgomery family and their friends.  It truly makes you feel as if you are a part of the story, clsoe to the characters and watching things go done from right next door.

Everly has been on her own for years, raising her twin sons after their father, her husband Jackson, died.  She struggles with handling it all on her, especially having children with medical issues, but she's determined to be the best mother and therfore puts everything but her children to the side.

Storm has secrets, secrets he's hidden from most of those in his life for one reason or another.  When one of those secrets leads him to another secret - he's not sure how to handle it, and he's not sure how he didn't know it before.

Storm was Jackson's best friend, or so he though, but now he's struggling with growing feelings for Everly and how the secrets he's hidden and those he's found out, affect her.

Inked Expressions took me on a wild ride, with a bit of mystery. It also was an emotional read, watching as Everly struggled - feeling alone and os much more.  Jackson's parents invoked anger in me with their treatment of Everly - as if she was undeserving. Storm's inner struggles also just made me want to give him a big ol hug.  I really enjoyed how the story unfolded, and how it all came together, Everly and Storm's seemingly awkward friendship leading to more felt honest and real.

There's a lot going on in this book, so sometimes it feels like the bloomnig relationship between Everly and Storm takes a back seat, but the chemistry remains, the feelings between them are still felt throughout the pages of the book, even as they deal with other things.

Carrie Ann Ryan worked some magic to pull everything in this story together and make it flow well and work together.  From the whole cast of characters pulling me in, to the story giving me feelings, and an overwhelming desire to see it through to the end.
