This story couldn't be more fun if it tried, a truly unique version of opposites attract.
Matt's been hurt by love before - him and his boys - so he knows if he's going to risk his heart and theirs again - he's going to do it on someone who he thinks is worthy. But his heart keeps falling back on the risky, free-spirited Vi and eventually the chemistry between them is going to explode all over.
Vi's got secrets - a lot of secrets and because of those secrets she's stuck in a place she doesn't really want to be, doing things she wouldn't do if she had other options, but she's strong and independent with a side of trust issues.
What starts out as a fling, a plan to get itches scratched without strings, without feelings, without painful oversharing of the past turns into oh so much more and those secrets - well they are about to take their toll.
Penalty Play will suck you in from the first page, leaving you rooting for these two to figure it out and realize how well they fit while also invoking a strong curiousity to know more about Vi and her secrets. You'll find yourself drawn to her, equal parts being proud of what she's becoming and sad that she's been through so much. Matt will leave you wanting to hug and smack him occasionally because he can't see and doesn't understand what he's got in Vi.
