Dear Mr. Brisken,
How do I hate you?
Let me count the ways.
>I hate your smug, sexy millionaire face.
>I hate your cocky, skirt chasing, playboy ways.
>I hate working as your secretary—but, I love the pay. It almost makes dealing with you worth it.
>I hate how my friends call you a BILF, when really BILK (Boss I’d like to kill) is more appropriate.
>I hate that I need you to be my date for my best friend’s wedding because my ex-boyfriend, the King of Heartbreakers, and his new busty blonde girlfriend will be in attendance.
>But mostly, I hate how once the charade is over, I might not hate you at all . . .it was so much easier when you were the Boss I Love To Hate
REVIEW
Boss I Love to Hate was a fun take on the enemies to lovers and Fake relationship tropes.
Brad and Sonia were very likable characters from the start and I really enjoyed their banter and working relationship before it turned more. Sonia was still hurting from her past relationship and I could see that she wasn't thinking about any kind of relationship with anyone and yet still her connection deepened with Brad. Brad had just discovered that he wanted more than his usual tricks with women, he wanted a steady, stable and real relationship. The fact that neither of these two realized how well they'd work together made their falling all the more fun.
Mia Kayla did an amazing job building up the relationship between these two and showing us all the reasons they should be together before they even figured it out themselves. The side characters of Brad's siblings and nieces just built on the story and added humor, a little drama and extra depth to Brad's character.
