O'Fallon combines excellent suspense with romance with Dark 'N' Deadly and teh story of Eric and Tess.
Tess has tried to move on from her past, but parts of it still remain. She's never been able to push it all away, but she's also never really opened up about it either. But when she receives a call from the brother she left behind it starts events she could have never prepared herself for.
Eric's still set on vengeance against the man who took away his friends, his co workers, but to exact that vengeance he'll have to find a way to make the criminal pay. In his path to doing this he finds himself drawn further to Tess, a woman he's known on the periphery and whom he's got an attraction too.
I really enjoyed the journey Tess and Eric took together in this story, the balance of watching their feelings change and grow was perectly matched with watching the mystery play out. Learning secrets and putting things together only made me want to know more and not want to set the book down.
