Review

Breathless delivers a friends to lovers story with a few twists.  I was hooked from moment one, trying to figure out just what was going on in Logan's life and how things would work out between these two. 

Logan was a good guy, but at times seemed aloof, it's easy to understand why that was once I knew everything the poor man was holding inside.  He wanted to be everything to everyone but to do so  he had to hide some truths from those he loves most.  It was definitely a difficult place for a guy to be in  torn between two sides and trying to protect both.  I really enjoyed watching as he tried to figure it all out, his hidden lives, his newfound feelings for Joey, and life in general.  

Joey left her best friend and her close friends behind because of her unrequited love for him. She thought by staying away she could get ahold of her feelings and find a way to bring back the status quo but in the time she was gone, nothing had changed. 

I really enjoyed how Martin pulled this story into action, from drawing us in with curiosity for the secrets Logan's hiding, to feeling Joey's emotional turmoil at unrequited love she beleives certainly will never be returned to the chemistry and connection these two find themselves rife with after so much time apart. 

Breathless will draw you in and keep you guessing all while making you fall in love wtih this cast of characters.
