This Blog post is to bring to life our own personal #ForeverMoments while also promoting those from Forever With You.
So My #ForeverMoments story takes us back a few years. I met my best friend online in a fan community for a fictional television couple. We talked often, and got along well online and eventually shared emails/IMs and later telephone numbers. We talked often about this that and everything and became a huge support system for eachother. Our friendship moved beyond that fictional couple and we talked everything life, dreams, books, jobs, and anything and everything.
Years after we'd become best friends, my daughter was diagnosed with Kidney disease and required surgery at an out of state hospital. My best friend surprised me with a kindle (my very first one) so that I would have plenty of books to read that were easily accesible while at the hospital with my daughter. This person who only knew me online, from a website, then emails, then IMs then speaking on a phone, sent me this precious gift and let me rage and rant and cry to her.
Then to out do herself, as my bestest friend ever, she made the trip (a flight out of state for her as well) to come meet me after one of my daughter's checkups. I will never forget sitting at the table, feeding my daughter lunch and turning around and there was my Best Friend holding a Caramel Macchiato for me. The recongnition was instananeous and it felt like we'd known each other for ages and though it was the first time we met in real life, it didn't feel awkward or weird at all.
To this day, she continues to meet up with me and my daughter when she has checkups. She explores the city with us and we talk about anything and everything. I'll never forget the big heart she has or what all she's done to support me. She's the best friend ever and I love her like a sister.
This is the Reflecting Pool at the Church of Scientology in Boston, MA during one of our explorations together. Boston will always be a special place for us, because it's where we met IRL for the first time.
