The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. And I have the perfect candidate all picked out.
My new assistant is tempting beyond belief with her curvy body and take-no-shit attitude. All those luscious curves, and a juicy ass I’m already in love with. God, the things that I would do to that ass…
But it’s the haunted look in her eyes that speaks to me. Like she’s taken just as much shit in her past as I have—maybe more. We both deserve a little fun.
Love can’t fix everything. Mind-blowing sex and a few killer orgasms, on the other hand?
I have a feeling those might do the trick.

Review
I've been looking forward to this book for a while - just to see how Cooper's story came together.
Watching as Cooper fell for Emma, and then was devestated when she chose his brother, I knew it would be an interesting story as we watched him find his own true love. I wasn't disappointed.
Torrid Little Affair dives us right into the story - with a glimpse of Cooper on his out of town jaunt and his return home to Boston where he finds something different waiting on him - his new assistant, Corrine. Only their introduction isn't smooth or PR perfect - and Cooper finds himself first apologizing and then propositioning more completely this woman who intrigues him.
Corrine isn't so sure about the offer Cooper's put on the table, she needs her job and the security of it, but yet she's also compelled to see what Cooper has to offer. There's also this attraction and connection she feels - so of course she eventually says Yes. But things aren't as simple as they'd like them to be and life has a tendency of going a different direction than we expect.
I'm not going to spoil the story for you, I'm not going to go into details of the plot - what I will say is that I was pulled into this book by curiosity - First anxious to see how Cooper has dealt with his rejection - how it changes his relationship with his brothers and their company and how it's going to change him when he finds his own "one". Then I was interested in knowing more about Corrine, her past, her present, every little detail that's made her who she is and brought her to this point in life.
This book delivers a taboo office romance with so much more going on as well. There's just the right amount of steam and spice that when paired with the chemistry between these two delivers a romance that feels right and draws you in. Coupled with a character with a smidge of mystery, emotions that can get awry, and Torrid Little Affair won't let you lose from it's grip until you read the last page. And then you'll be anxious for more.
