Alive Again was my first book by Emma Tharp and I enjoyed it. It wasn't your usual romance story, as it had it's own unique twists and turns. This book takes you on quite the journey with these characters and each and every turn will have you wondering what will happen next.
Patrick thought he had everything he wanted, a marriage, a baby, and then suddenly without reason, it seemed, his wife was gone and he was left to pick up the pieces. When he finds a Nanny for his daughter, he never expects that could lead to something more in his life, he tries to ignore his attraction, to ignore the chemistry between himself and Carsen the nanny - but some things are meant to be. To bad the things that are meant to be aren't always easy.
I enjoyed the connections that play out between these two characters and how it drew me further into their story. I liked that I didn't feel like I guessed everything before it came to pass in the story. Emma Tharp wove an amazing tale together with the perfect balance of angst, romance, and drama and built up teh chemistry and connections of her characters while doing so.
