I've been anxiously awaiting Sutton's book, because I've loved all of the Wright's so far and I've felt for her in the other books. I knew K.A. Linde would deliver an emotionally packed heartfelt story for Sutton, and I wasn't at all let down - well except maybe that I have to wait for the second half - LOL.
Sutton has spent the last year since her husband's death, just rolling with life, not living it, not attempting to do anything other than take care of her son and breathe. She's still grieving, she's still accepting that her husband is gone, and though her family tries to support her as best they can, nobody who hasn't been there can truly understand her feelings. On the anniversary of his death, she decides she needs to live again, to move on for herself and her son - not because she no longer loves the man she lost, but because she's not living now.
But David wants to try. He wants to give her space, he wants to let her mourn and grieve how she sees fit, but also - He wants more.

David - I've been waiting to know more of his story since Morgan's book, there's just something about him that had me curious and I truly loved getting to know him more in this story. He's the perfect match for Sutton. He's patient and kind, understanding and loving and above all else - he deeply cares about Sutton in all ways. He's also amazing with Jason.
The chemistry between these two is palpable and explosive which made thing move steadily. Though there was a lot to work through for both David and Sutton, they were finding their way together.
Of course it wouldn't be a duet without a surprising ending, and I won't speak much on that because I'm not a spoiler - but once I read those last pages I wished I'd had book two in my hands to dive into immediately because I NEED to know what happens now. I can't wait for the The Wright One to drop so I can finish the story of this amazing couple.
