Synopsis

These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.

They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

REVIEW

Twisted Palace starts us off immediately where we were left at the end of Broken Prince, and doesn't let up for a moment.

Reed and Ella are in a major situation that could take them different directions and ruin any future plans if things don't work out.   Ella is faced with several new realities in this book, and with them she has to really consider how her life has changed since she's been with the Royals.

Twisted Palace delivers new twists and secrets, while keeping us embroiled in the mystery we were shocked with at the end of book two.  I love that the secrets and twisted truths that are revealed as this book progresses build up the tension and ramp the mystery but also lend us insights into the past and show us that nobody in Casa de Royal knows everything they should.

Erin Watt has mastered the art of angst and drama and brought it to us in spades within each book of this series. With each turn of the page we dive deeper into the mysteries of the Royal bunch and discover all the hidden parts of them, the lies they tell themselves, the truth no one wants to admit, and more importantly the questions nobody has thought to ask.

Twisted Palace gripped me and held me hostage as I worked to figure it all out for myself and waited, sometimes with bated breath to see how things would play out and what hits would be coming next.  I loved seeing the Royal brothers working together for Ella and with Ella and how they all could admit that life had been worse before her arrival.  I loved Reed's need to do the right thing for Ella, even when it meant going against her wishes. He proves many times over how much he loves and respects her in this book.

I loved that the twists and turns we are taken on during this book aren't all expected and that the authors didn't take the easy route or make it totally predictable but rather delivered a compelling read that gave us so much more than just answers to the empty holes left with the previous cliffhanger.

I need more Royals in my life, Erin Watt, and I'm going to be watching and waiting for them!
