I had always been a good girl ruled by my catholic guilt, until one little slip-up in college led me down a different path. Now, I’m just trying to be the best mom I can to my little girl, making ends meet - cleaning houses by day, hosting sex toy parties at night, and holding out hope that Prince Charming truly does exist.
Then I met him - handsome, successful, and hardworking. The perfect Prince Charming. Right? Wrong. So wrong.
I’m carefree.
He’s a perfectionist.
I’m broke.
He’s rich.
I’m a single mom.
He doesn’t have patience for kids.
And…Did I mention, he’s my new boss? A boss who has me thinking more impure thoughts than a teenage boy with their first dirty magazine, a boss who is totally out of my league, and a boss who I’m impossibly attracted to.
Sometimes a girl must give up the illusion that fairy tales exist and realize happily ever afters only happen in movies. I’m not a princess, and he’s not a prince.
But when an unconventional fairy godmother intervenes to work her magic, maybe just maybe, I’ll get to wear that crown after all.
“I slept with Cole last night!” I blurted to Natalia as we walked through the outdoor flea market with Joey just a few feet in front of us.
“You what?” She stopped dead in her tracks, and I prepared myself for her wrath that was about to come. I didn’t know why I even told her, but confessing my sins to Natalia in my adult life took the place of confessing to the priests in my childhood.
“Joey, get back here!” I shouted just before Natalia got ready to lay into me.
“Why on earth would you do that?”
I shrugged. “I don’t know. I needed to—”
“Come on, you guys,” Joey whined, stomping back to us and tugging on my hand to move.
“I needed to eat some chocolate.” I began to talk in code, something we did often when Joey was around.
“But, Faith. There are so many other different chocolates out there. Why would you pick that one?”
“I don’t know. Maybe because that piece of chocolate was right there on my couch, and I was drinking some wine….”

REVIEW

Faith is a struggling single mom who works hard and does what she can but she suffers guilt for all that she can't do or in her opinion hasn't done right.  She can be too trusting, too forgiving and it makes life even more difficult, but Faith isn't one to let it get her down either.  When her best friend sets her up for a job interview she wasn't interested in, her life suddenly changes direction and things are loking up for the most part.

Gabe isn't looking for a relationship, he's not looking to have kids, he's a workaholic and he enjoys that.  But Then his grandmother asks him to help out a friend by giving her a job and though at first he isn't willing, something about Faith pulls him and he makes the job offer. Then he gets to know her and all his claims to want nothing to do with that sort of life sort of start blurring.

I really enjoyed the interactions between Faith and Gabe, there was a deep connection there, even before they really knew one another, a chemistry. I loved that even though Gabe didn't really want anythign to do with kids, he couldn't help but take to Joey.  I loved the side characters and how they were such a big part  of the story.  Faith's best friend who wants the best for her and tells her the truth even when she doesn't want to hear it, Gabe's grandmother who finds herself falling in love with Faith and Joey and wanting only to help them and her grandson too, Joey in all her little girl hilarity.

Keepin' the Faith was a quick and enjoyable read. It struck my heart to see Faith try so hard and seemingly fail only to find herself in the midst of something so much more.  I laughed, I cried, I wanted to strangle Joey's father and I wanted to hug Faith and Gabe. I wanted to jump up and down when it seemed things were on a good road.

Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed Creative Writing. There was always something about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen - or in today's world a touch of the keyboard. I am the author of The Exception To The Rule, An Unplanned series, Drowning In Love, A Cry for Hope, A Will To Change, Blind Side of Love, Three of a Kind series, Easy Silence, A Right to Remain & Keepin' the Faith.

My life is not as interesting as my books or the characters in them, but then again whose life is? I'm a mom of twin teenage boys, a crazy Border Collie and a cat with an identity crisis! I guess you can say writing is my form of Calgon!

Thanks for taking the time to learn about my books and me! If you decide to read them (and I hope you do!) please be sure to go on and review it for me - yes, even if you don't like it!
