Taming Sugar was a quick but fun read.
When Roxy's friends sent her to a cabin in the woods for a break and a chance to learn patience, she had no idea what was in store for her. But a mishap with a light bulb leads to her calling the one person who could probably help her; the property manager, Hunter.
When Hunter is first called to the house by Roxy and is met by her attitude, he thinks he knows the type of woman she is, but something about her also calls to him in a way he can't ignore. Though the two of them seem to clash in some ways, deep down, Hunter knows just what Roxy needs. The question becomes is she going to work with him or not.
Though the book is not long, it really worked for me and didn't move to fast. Roxy and Hunter have oodles of chemistry and sexual tension. I really enjoyed how the story spun off as a taming of the shrew type story, here's this woman who has led a pretty sweet life and is used to getting her way and then bam she loses her job and is sent away to learn patience. I really liked how Hunter showed her a different meaning of patience and how he recognized in her just what she needed, even if she didn't know its what she needed at first.
Taming Sugar was the perfect blend of romance and kink, bringing these two together.
