One Contract starts off the Game Series, which reads like a serial to me. Book one will continue into book two, and so forth.
In book one, One Contract, we are introduced to the players, Tobias, Preston, and Ella and get a few glimpses into what to expect in coming books, though I already know that I'm nowhere close to fully guessing it all.
Ella's down on her luck, she lost her man and her job withing quick succession. So when she finds herself mysteriously contacted for a job interview, quickly followed by a proposition from the CEO, she isn't sure what to expect, but the Dollar signs are flashing in her eyes. The proposition appears simple - One week - a few rules, and she'll walk away with more money than she's dreamed of.
Simple, however, it is not, because Ella doesn't know at all what to expect and as soon as she signs on the dotted line, she's not allowed to ask questions, but rather play the game as it rolls out or give up on the money.
One Contract digs us right into the world of Preston and Tobias - two men who obviously know what they are doing, and have done it all before, but there's something about Ella and maybe just maybe the game is going to be different this time.
The chemistry between these three is hot, and I enjoy the aspect of the unknown. After witnessing the first round of the game, I'm looking forward to what comes next and how much deeper these two men are going to drag sweet Ella. I'm also curious to see where this game leads and what it all means.
