REVIEW:
This book kept me on my toes wondering which way it would go. Easton hasn't been the same for a while, the Rocker who disappeared suddenly finds himself questioning his future. With the help of his band mates/friends he finds himself taking part in a perfect match singles cruise with the intention of moving on from his past, but Easton doesn't feel ready. Lark is still trying to move past her cheating ex and though she's not ready to jump on the dating wagon again, she can't refuse her best friend or the trip on the singles cruise. Lark expects nothing to come from the trip more than rest and relaxation. But Lark never expected to matched with rockstar, Easton. Though things start out without expectations or commitments, the pull between Easton and Lark is obvious and they find themselves looking forward to more time together. But as they grow closer and work spectacularly in physical aspects, Easton doesn't open up easily. Lark needs him to let her in to take a relationship seriously. Rock the Boat was a quick read, but it was full of drama, swoons, laughs, and a sweet love story. There were misunderstandings and struggles, but they showed the reality of merging two people in a short period of time. The story showed us that sometimes the heart wins, it overcomes and it can lead you to your happy when and where and how you least expect it. Lark and Easton's story was touching in many ways and we get to see into their souls, their deep connection and understanding of each other and acceptance of each other's pasts and what they mean. |
