REVIEW:
Hotshot was an emotionally wild ride full of twists and turns, pain, and manipulation and above all a love that didn't quit.

Crenshaw Bennett, Shaw to his family and friends, is a very popular sports agent, well known and high in demand, but he's also a guy who isn't looking for a relationship. He's tried to be up front about those feelings with any woman he gets tangled up with, letting her know there are not strings, no ties.  But just when he's decided maybe he could be ready for a real relationship, a commitment with just one woman, the ONE. a former conquest decides they are made for each other and doesn't want to let go. But after an afternoon shines a light on Shaw and opens his eyes to a future with Bizzy, he will do anything to prove to her that she's the one he wants.

Lizbeth 'Bizzy' has known the Bennett brothers for years, ten to be exact, and she's loved Shaw that entire time, unknownst to him.  But Bizzy knows suffering, and she knows loss, and she's not exactly sure she could survive losing Shaw's friendship if taking things further doesn't work out.  It's hard for her to trust in their relationship, especially as hits come their way and they stumble over obstacles.

Hotshot really keeps you on the edge, wondering how things will work out, rooting for Bizzy and Shaw, while also wanting to smack Shaw and others a few times.  These two are put through the wringer as they work things out amongst themselves, but one thing stands strong, their love for each other.

One of my favorite things about this book was the closeness of Bizzy to not just Shaw, but each of the Bennett brothers. She was a part of the family long before she became more to Shaw and it showed.  The relationship between her and each of the brothers builds up the story and shows us a bit of their history and why she fits right in as if she's always belonged.

There's a bit of drama involving an ex-fling of Shaw's, one who didn't believe him when he told her he wanted no ties, no relationship, and one who is determined to get her way  at any cost.  This brings several loopy loos to the ride for both Bizzy and Shaw, marking an already uneasy path with extra strife.  I really liked how it played out though and how Bizzy was accepting and supportive, even when she was hurting; that's the power of love.

I look forward to future books from Ahren Sanders.

About the Author:
Ahren spent her formative years living in an active volcano. There her family made collectible lava art. She studied rock collecting at the Sorbonne in France. There she met the love of her life-her pet pig Sybil. She returned to the states and started writing. She is happily married to a guy who used to live under a bridge and she met while pole-dancing. They have one amazing daughter.

Now, meet the real me. I grew up in the south and consider myself a true “Southerner”. Most of the special locations mentioned in my books are reflections of my favorite places. Living on the Florida coast, my family spends a lot time at the beach which is where I usually can be found with a book in my hand. I started writing my Surrender Series, in the spring of 2013 and have received incredible support from the Indie community. Throughout this year, I have been privileged to meet some amazing people that I am thankful to have in my life.
