Synopsis: Blood always leaves the brightest stains where the snow falls.Fresh out of lockup, Kazimir Markovic is focused on two things only—having Violet Gallucci back at his side, and putting his father in the ground. With his plans already in motion the very second he’s free, Kaz goes after what’s most important. Violet first. Vasily second.
The Russians are out for blood.
The Italians want their blood back.
It’s only a matter of time before someone comes for Kaz and Violet—hiding was never in their plans. And they’ve been waiting for this …
The game they’re playing is dangerous.
Someone always has to lose.
From authors London Miller (Den of Mercenaries) and Bethany-Kris (The Chicago War) comes the second installment in the Seasons of Betrayal series that has readers calling it “A modern day Romeo and Juliet.”
Where the Snow Falls is book two in the topsy turvy world of Kaz and Violet, heirs to two very different mafia thrones.
Kaz has had time to come up with the best plan, the one that will not only get him Violet back, but also find out some answers to hard questions and get back at his father. What Kaz doesn't expect is where exactly the answers will lead him and how much people, not just his father, want those answers to remain unknown.
Violet and Kaz take up right where they left off, enthralled with one another and deeply in love. Kaz can't give Violet all the details of his plans, but she knows he's got them and one way or another, he's going to make it so they can be together or he'll get rid of anyone who stands in the way of that.
Where the Snow Falls takes us on a journey into the past, one that brings answers, but also leaves questions. Danger lurks around every corner, and there are debatable connections wondering who can be trusted, who will be loyal. Beyond the scope of the drama of two rival families with deadly secrets to hide, Kaz and Violet grow closer together, their feelings stronger, the chemistry and heat between them undeniable.
In this installment of their story, we are also introduced to new characters, characters that give us insight into Kaz, and also insight into the way his father has run things. I loved meeting new characters and seeing the change in Kaz when he is around people he cares for rather than those he tolerates as needed.
I found myself with a large stream of thoughts and theories and questions and a quenching desire to find out what's going to happen. A deep need to see Kaz and Violet settled and looking toward the future. The ending of this book, made me absolutely on edge and ready for the next.

From authors Bethany-Kris (The Chicago War) and London Miller (Volkov Bratva) comes a thrilling, sexy new series—Seasons of Betrayal. Where the Russians and Italians clash in culture, mafia … and love.
Where the Sun Hides kicks off a suspense and drama filled series that follows Violet Gallucci and Kazimir (Kaz) Markovic's crazy and wild love story.
Violet Gallucci, only daughter to the Italian mob boss, has always been raised knowing in ways who and what her father was, but also not knowing the extent of it. Violet wasn't in on the dirty secrets, and she usually did what she was told, no questions asked. But Violet takes a risk on her 21st birthday, wanting to do something of her own choosing for once and something unexpected happened; she met a man she had an instant connection with.
Kazimir likes to live dangerously, from going places he knows he shouldn't, to inciting his father (and boss's) rage. Kaz is the heir to the Russian mob, one of the highest ranking members, just a step below his father. Kaz knows the way of life, he knows how dangerous it is to go against his father, but he also knows he wants nothing more than Violet, and he means to have her.
But there are secrets and lies hidden amongst both the Russians and the Italians. Secrets and Lies that have been buried and that those in charge do not want to be dug up and revealed. When Kaz and Violet fall for each other, they are risking more than their hearts, they are risking an all out war between their families, and their very own lives.
I loved the action of this book, not only was there an element of suspense, but there was action, there was violence (as expected in a mafia book), and there were so many twists and turns, revelations that filled you with more questions. The connection between Kaz and Violet was undeniable and just grew, despite the ploys to keep them apart. I loved the angle of Italians vs. Russians and how these two who are building this relationship that should be a good thing for both sides, wasn't.
I loved the characters of the story, not just Kaz and Violet, but Kaz's family, Violet's friends, each brought an element to the story, brought a new twist, or made you make guesses about certain things. I love how they all came together in bits and pieces of the story building up the suspense, the drama, and leaving you stunned or wondering where things were headed.
The ending left me on the edge of my seat, ready to read the next book and oh so happy it was sitting on my kindle. Where the Sun Hides is not your usual mafia story, Violet is not the mob princess you think you know, and Kaz isn't who you'd expect either. Their story is one wild ride that will leave your heart thumping, your breath gasping, and you mind full of questions.
