Duncan isn't looking for a woman, he's not looking for romance at the moment, he's just out for a night of fun with his friends, but that soon changes when he meets Amber, who seems more down to earth than most of the women he has met before. He thinks she could be good for him until he learns more about her, but still, he feels an pull in her direction.
Amber's not about to become involved with a sports star of any kind, especially when she knows all about the things that that life involves, she's seen it firsthand. She is determined to get her life in order and accomplish her goals, but she can't stop thinking about Duncan.
Both Amber and Duncan are relatable characters and will pull you in as they try to fight their insane chemistry. There is an instant connection, but it doesn't feel forced like some stories are. Duncan is one hot hockey player and Amber is a strong character herself. Both have suffered in the past and it has affected their desires for the future, both thinking they know exactly the type of person they would want, but finding that though its not who they would have expected, there is something major between them. But this story is not all insta-love and hiding feelings, Icing is also laced with Jamieson's usual steamy scenes.
