Release Blitz: Kiss My Ash by Leddy Harper

Title: Kiss My Ash
Author: Leddy Harper
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: August 9, 2018

Blurb

Ash Jenkins was the typical boy next door. Wait, who am I kidding? There was nothing typical about that boy.

He was tall, ripped, and had the voice of a man twice his age. Intelligent, sexy as sin, and barely legal.

Sent to live with his dad after getting in some trouble with the law, he was definitely someone I needed to stay away from.

But he had his sights set on me, and he didn’t try to hide it.

Did it still make me a cougar if I was the prey?

Review

Not gonna lie, it took me a while to get into this story, because I needed to get to know the characters more before I felt connected to them and their story.  Kiss My Ash is an age-gap romance but it isn't the usual - or at least it didn't read that way to me.

Kristy is a single mom with a teenage daughter who just moved into a new house. Ash is her next door neighbor, whom at first meeting, she guesses is older than he really is.   I have to say that from his behaviors in the story, he really does come across as a much older man, so it really was understandable that she hadn't guessed the truth.

Kiss my Ash sucked me in once I got a grasp on the characters and where they were coming from and it held my attention leaving me wondering what would happen next and how things would work out.  The story made me laugh at times but more importantly made me second guess my expectations and had me unable to set it down.

 Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
