A Standalone Contemporary Romance Novel
By: NY Times, USA Today, and #1 Wall Street Journal Best Selling Author, Penelope Ward
Synopsis:
From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy STANDALONE novel.
We met in the least likely of places. It started out innocently enough. I was “ScreenGod” and she was “Montana,” but of course, those weren’t our actual names, just the virtual cloaks we hid behind.
Logging in at night and talking to her was my escape—my sanctuary.
Her real name was Eden, I’d soon come to find out.
From the first time we connected online, I found myself transfixed.
She was an addiction.
At first, we knew nothing about each other’s real identities…and she was adamant that we keep things that way. Anonymity had no effect on our unstoppable chemistry, though. If anything, it allowed us to open up even more in ways we may not have otherwise.
Eden was funny, intelligent, gorgeous—everything I’d ever wanted in a woman.
But I couldn’t really have her.
I had accepted things would have to stay the way they were—until the day I found a clue that led me straight to her.
So I took a chance.
And that was when our love story really began.

REVIEW
I have to say that I went into this book without real expectations, I wanted to see what Ward would bring my way without me guessing and I have to say that worked well for me. I was hooked on the characters from the start, needing to know more of their stories, anxious to see how things developed and worked out between them, and I also found myself anticipating a twist or two.
Eden's life hasn't been easy, she's taking the hard road more than once and she's made decisions because of her circumstances more often than not. But Eden hasn't let any of that jade her, she's overcome so much and sees her life as good and full. She doesn't believe she needs anything more and truthfully, I don't think she feels she deserves more or better either. All of that changes when she meets a man unlike any other - and though she doesn't know him know him - their connection online, their bond is magical and it's clear to see that they could work together so well.
Ryder's life couldn't be any more different from Eden's and yet - they share some similarities anyways. Ryder, needing an escape from his daily life, finds it online with a woman he only knows as Montana. And yet - that escape turns into so much more, first an amazingly founded friendship and then something he's willing to take a bigger risk for. Ryder's used to getting whatever he wants and not having to answer to anyone about it, but with Eden - it's different and he knows it.
Ryder and Eden's story isn't your typical love found online story, and yet, it'll suck you in all the same until you've devoured every word and are left wanting more. Their journey together is emotional and well paced, their differences shining through just enough to add a touch of drama - but not really any angst. As they discover more about each other, their lives, their reasons, their pasts, the bonds forming between them grow and change and they find that before they realized it something more has formed.
I'm not going to give you any details, because this journey is best taken, one page at a time, but I'll say that you can expect to fall in love right along with these characters and find yourself lost in their worlds.
